About this blog

This is a gameblog following my progress through the Nintendo DS game, Professor Layton and the Specter's Flute. Mostly I'm transcribing puzzles so I can use machine translation (Google Translate) to help me better comprehend what the puzzles are actually asking.

Four met in the town had laid at the feet of fruit stand talking to people. We settle the matter and soaring people who had had a grapefruit and melon. But people who had had the grapes and bananas, had stood in place watching. Hiragana and where they stand talking to want to answer the four characters.

Notes on Puzzle
There are four people standing about talking. One is holding a (honeydew) melon, one is holding some grapefruits, one is holding some bananas and one is holding some grapes. There's a thud and the two who had the grapefruits and melon go running off while the other two look on in confusion. From these clues you have to figure out where the four were standing around and talking. Although the clue says the answer is written in 4 hiragana, the game will apparently accept a few related answers; the longest answers use 4 hiragana.
